Tyshun “Deebo” Samuel hasn’t had very much given to him. After witnessing multiple jail sentences of his older brother, who also happens to be his best friend, as a child, the South Carolina native was dealt a significant injury in his first collegiate game which was followed by the same injury early in his second season on the field in Columbia.

In a new video produced by the school, titled “Tomorrow Isn’t Promised: The Deebo Samuel Story,” the junior relives the adversity he has faced during his journey. Told from his perspective, as well as the perspective of his family, it’s hard not to come out a fan of Samuel after watching this video.

After being named the Steve Spurrier Award, team offensive MVP, as a sophomore, the future looks bright for Samuel heading into the 2017 season.
