South Carolina will get one player back and be without another one in this week’s home matchup against Texas A&M, according to head coach Will Muschamp.

The player that is certainly not playing on Saturday is redshirt junior running back A.J. Turner, who is suffering from a concussion. Turner has played in every game, but has not been heavily featured for this South Carolina offense, with 131 rush yards on 21 attempts so far on the season.

Muschamp confirmed that junior wide receiver Bryan Edwards has practiced all week with a sprained ankle, but did not make it clear whether or not Edwards would play Saturday. Edwards has certainly made an impact this season, racking up 309 receiving yards and 5 touchdowns through five games.

Perhaps most importantly, Muschamp did confirm that quarterback Jake Bentley will be the starter against Texas A&M. Bentley did not play in the game against Missouri, and senior backup Michael Scarnecchia led the Gamecocks to a 37-35 win.

South Carolina and Texas A&M kick off at 2:30pm ET on the SEC Network Saturday, and the Gamecock offense will be closer to full strength with the return of its starting quarterback.
