The North Carolina Tar Heels made it to the Orange Bowl for the first time ever, but it seems not many players will be playing in the big game.

The Texas A&M Aggies already knew they wouldn’t have to face star RB Michael Carter, WR Dyami Brown and LB Chazz Surratt, and now, another star player is opting out.

Per his Instagram page, RB Javonte Williams won’t be taking part in the Orange Bowl, either, and will instead declare for the 2021 NFL Draft:

Williams ran for 1,140 yards and 19 touchdowns in 2020. Carter had 1,245 yards and 9 scores as a rusher. The dynamic duo also combined for 572 yards and 5 scores as receivers.

UNC’s offense will still have QB Sam Howell (at least at this point), but he won’t have many playmakers around him. We’ll see if the Aggies can take advantage of the Tar Heels’ opt-outs and pick up a big bowl win.
