Former Texas A&M wide receiver Shadrach Banks won’t be leaving the Lone Star State. Banks announced Saturday on Twitter that he’s transferring to TCU.

Banks signed as part of Texas A&M’s 2021 class and early enrolled. After his spring camp in College Station, however, he decided to enter the NCAA transfer portal on April 26.

From a recruiting perspective, Banks appears to be a big get for Gary Patterson’s TCU program. As a prospect, Banks was rated 4-stars, the No. 17 player in Texas, No. 18 wide receiver and No. 111 recruit overall nationally in the class of 2021. He picked up 32 scholarship offers, including Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Mississippi State, Ole Miss and Tennessee. He pledged to Jimbo Fisher’s squad on Aug. 1, 2019.
