Texas A&M just landed a new pledge in the current recruiting cycle, giving the Aggies a total of four commitments in the 2021 recruiting cycle.

The Aggies may only hold four commitments at this time but all four are elite prospects as Jahzion Harris becomes the latest four-star prospect to commit to Jimbo Fisher’s Texas A&M program. Harris announced the news on Tuesday.

“I want to first thank my parents, family, coaches and mentors who’s been actively a positive influence in my life … as a family we decided that the best place for us is Texas A&M to reach my full potential as a man, student, and athlete …IM OFFICIALLY AN AGGIE YA”

Continuing a tradition that has been building since Fisher’s arrival, the Aggies continue to recruit nationally and managed to reach into New York to land the Brooklyn native’s commitment on Tuesday. Last recruiting cycle, 14 of Texas A&M’s 24 signees came from outside of Texas.

The Erasmus Hall High School product is currently rated as a four-star prospect, the No. 14 weakside defensive end in the nation and the No. 208 overall recruit in the nation for the 2021 recruiting cycle by 247Sports Composite Rankings. Harris picked Texas A&M over LSU, Michigan, Ohio State and Rutgers.
