Myles Garrett trade request used to troll Cleveland crowd during WWE RAW

Myles Garrett sent a jolt throughout the world of sports on Monday when he officially and formally requested a trade away from the Cleveland Browns.
It’s news whenever a professional player goes public with their desire to leave their current team. But for the former Texas A&M star, it’s especially significant as the 2023 Defensive Player of the Year and a 4-time first-team All-Pro will immediately elevate whatever team he joins.
The timing of Garrett’s request was also significant. Well, at least for WWE Raw on Monday night, it was significant.
The popular wrestling show was live in Cleveland, and it presented the perfect opportunity for wrestling duo, The New Day, to troll the crowd.
“Matter of fact, you’re booing like we want to be here anyways,” began Xavier Woods.
“Nah, nah. We can’t wait to get the hell out of Cleveland, just like Myles Garrett!” delivered Kofi Kingston.

That’s the kind of impact Myles Garrett formally requesting a trade has, particularly for fans in Cleveland. The Browns have been historically lackluster in recent years and have had to endure watching Baker Mayfield blossom into his full potential since leaving the organization.
Garrett has been one of the NFL’s premier defenders during his time with the franchise, but even he has grown weary of the team’s underperformance that has come as the result of questionable decisions in other areas.
