Texas A&M has added a new pledge to its 2024 recruiting class.

After being committed to play for Mike Elko at Duke, Robert Bourdon has decided to play for Elko’s new program. The offensive lineman from Tennessee made the announcement Monday night on social media.

A standout of Collierville (Tennessee) High School, Bourdon is listed as measuring 6-6 and 292 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Bourdon is rated 3-stars, the No. 12 player in the state of Tennessee, No. 43 offensive tackle and No. 558 prospect overall in the Class of 2024.

Bourdon was a sought-after prospect, picking up scholarship offers from 27 programs. Florida State, Kentucky, Ole Miss and Vanderbilt are among the programs that showed interest, in addition to Duke and Texas A&M.

Texas A&M’s 2024 recruiting class

In the transfer portal era, new coaches often mean new-look rosters. Elko’s first team is full of new faces.

Elko’s staff has 14 prospects out of high school, with 9 already enrolled. The Aggies have been busy in the transfer portal, bringing in 23 new players.

Though many prospects end their recruitment with December’s Early Signing Period, there is still February’s National Signing Day. Bourdon gives the Aggies two unsigned commitments. The other unsigned pledge is 5-star ATH Terry Bussey, who committed to the Aggies before the coaching change and is taking visits before making a final decision.
