Former Heisman-winning Texas A&M QB Johnny Manziel played much better in his second CFL game, completing 16 of his 26 passes for 168 yards and adding 36 yards on the ground.

However, the big discussion stemming from Saturday night’s loss was a hit that Manziel took during the game down near the goal line.

As you can see below, Manziel took a huge hit to the helmet, losing the football and seemingly losing control of his body. However, he quickly hopped up, got a neck massage on the sideline and didn’t miss a snap:

Obviously, you’d like to see a player go through concussion protocol after a reaction like that, but the Alouettes kept him in the game.

Hopefully, he’s fine and can continue to play, but it’s scary to see hits like this go virtually unaddressed.
