It’s safe to assume Miami women’s basketball coach Katie Meier is among those displeased with the assistant coaches at Texas A&M following their poor attempt at humor with the use of “blocking slides” with sexually suggestive themes.

Offensive line coach Jim Turner and tight ends coach Jeff Banks were the assistants behind the slides, shown during a women’s clinic no less. Texas A&M head coach Kevin Sumlin acted quickly and announced two weeks suspensions without pay for both assistants Friday evening.

Upon seeing the slides, Meier sent out the following tweets expressing her distaste for them as well as A&M’s response of a two week suspension for both assistants:

The blocking slides came after the assistants introduced a revised edition of the Texas A&M War Hymn fight song, which featured sexist lyrics. Of course this isn’t the first time an Aggie assistant has caused an unnecessary distraction for Sumlin this offseason – shout-out to receivers coach Aaron Moorehead and his epic twitter recruiting rant.

Considering Texas A&M is set to kickoff fall camp Aug. 8, this is the last thing that needs to be on Sumlin’s mind at the moment. If A&M’s assistants are attempting to undermine their boss as he heads into a critical season which could determine his fate in College Station, they are doing a fantastic job this offseason.
