Good news Tennessee fans, Aubrey Solomon is good to go for the 2019 season.

After nearly nine months of waiting, Tennessee finally received word that the transfer from Michigan has been granted his waiver to play this season by the NCAA. Tennessee announced the addition of Solomon to the roster back in December of 2018.

This news was first reported by Austin Priceless of Volquest.

Solomon, who has two years of eligibility remaining, is likely to start on Tennessee’s defensive line. The group was already replacing all three of last season’s starters when Emmit Gooden, another projected starter, was lost for the season due to a practice injury during training camp. Had the Volunteers not received this news on Solomon, the team would have been scrambling to find his replacement in starting lineup on its defensive line.

During his time playing for Michigan, Solomon registered 24 tackles and two tackles for loss in 18 appearances with the Wolverines. Solomon was a five-star recruit in the 2017 recruiting cycle out of Leesburg, Ga. The was also a 2017 U.S. Army All-American.
