Cory Robinson, who has experience as a defensive backs coach at both the NFL and college level, is expected to land at Tennessee as an analyst, Matt Zenitz of On3 Sports reported.

Robinson was on the New Orleans Saints staff the last 3 seasons as the assistant defensive backs coach, and previously coached defensive backs at Maryland and Rutgers.

The Baltimore native served as the defensive passing game coordinator/defensive backs coach at Maryland in 2019, where he also was director of player personnel in 2015. Robinson also took part in a training camp internship with the Saints in 2019.

Before Maryland, Robinson served as passing game coordinator/cornerbacks coach at Rutgers in 2018. He also coached cornerbacks at Toledo (2016) and Temple (2017).

Robinson was a starting cornerback at Central Connecticut State, and earned a bachelor’s degree in communications with a minor in business/marketing in 2009. He was also co-founder of Next Level Nation, a Baltimore-based nonprofit that hosted football workouts, among other services for local boys in need of mentorship, according to his Saints bio.
