Danny White may be new to Tennessee but the school’s athletic director is well aware of the value packing the house that General Neyland built brings to the Volunteers.

In a recent video interview issued by Tennessee, White was asked to discuss the school’s current plan regarding its attendance policy for Neyland Stadium in the fall.

“I’m hoping for a packed Neyland Stadium, I can’t wait to see it,” White shared. “Obviously, we’re going to work closely with medical experts and make sure that we’re being responsible, but I know all of us across college athletics and sport in general are hoping we can get back to normalcy, come the fall. We are certainly planning for that.”

While White has never experienced a fall Saturday in Neyland Stadium, the program’s AD is eager to see the stadium packed to help the Volunteers have the best homefield advantage possible to start the Josh Heupel era.

“For our fan base, we’re asking everyone consider getting vaccinated,” White added. “It’s going to be a huge lift for us to get that stadium packed and in the arena packed and have a normal year next year. So, I’m hopeful that our community rallies around it and we can put this pandemic behind us.”
