Last month, former Tennessee AD John Currie landed an executive-in-residence role at Robert Morris University, and now he’s landed another interesting role.

According to a report from ESPN’s Adam Rittenberg, Currie will be taking his experience to the Ivy League, where he’ll serve as a temporary member of Columbia’s faculty.

Rittenberg tweeted that the ex-Vol will discuss issues facing college athletics today:

Considering how badly Currie fared in his search for Tennessee’s new coach this offseason, it’s remarkable that these universities want him to join their staffs.

However, it has been said that you can learn a lot from failure, so perhaps Currie will bounce back stronger than ever in the near future.
