Unplanned doubleheaders in postseason play are especially unfortunate because of the potential pitching situations they create. So far, Tennessee has used Andrew Lindsey (4 IP, 6 H, 4 ER, 1 BB, 5 K) and Camden Sewell (1 IP, H, 3 K). Southern Miss starting pitcher Billy Oldham’s line is 4.1 IP, 2 H, 5 K.
It will be interesting to see how each team manages their bullpen, as pitchers typically only pitch in 1 game of a doubleheader. Mother Nature, of course, may have plans of her own again.
