Jeremy Pruitt gives update on Trey Smith's health
Earlier this season, it was announced that blood clots in Tennessee sophomore OL Trey Smith’s lungs had returned.
Sadly, that cast his football future in doubt, and it’s still unclear whether the talented lineman will be able to return to the gridiron.
On Wednesday, coach Jeremy Pruitt did give a slightly positive update, though, revealing that Smith was working out during the Vols’ Wednesday practice. However, there is still no timetable for his return:
Pruitt said there’s no timetable on Trey Smith. “We’re not concerned about that right now.”

Jeremy Pruitt says Trey Smith was working out during UT's practice today, but he adds there's no timetable for his return nor has a decision been made about his future in football.

Pruitt reiterated that the most important thing is Smith’s health, and we’ll have to see if doctors decide to clear him for action again or not.
Working out is a good sign for Smith, though, so it appears he’s doing better.
