Joe Milton is Tennessee’s new QB1, and if the first drive of the season was any indication, good things are in store on Rocky Top.

On Thursday night against Bowling Green, the Vols forced a punt on the Falcons’ first possession. Then, it was go time for Milton and the Tennessee offense.

Under new head coach Josh Heupel — he of the fast-paced offense — Milton was off to the races. On his first possession, he ran the ball into the end zone to give the Vols a lead:

Milton, at 6-5 and 245 pounds, looks like a defensive end running the Vols’ offense.

We know the Vols will put up plenty of points under Heupel. Can the defense hold its own? We’ll find out soon enough!
