Looking back at his career in Knoxville, Butch Jones doesn’t appear to have many regrets despite his program falling flat on its face in 2017.

The former Tennessee coach joined ESPNU Radio SiriusXM as a guest Thursday to discuss his thoughts on his time on Rocky Top. Jones explained he was proud of the accomplishments he achieved and pointed toward the many injuries his teams experienced as his ultimate undoing in Knoxville — despite the time and thought that went into his program to prevent such injuries.

Believe it or not, Jones threw out some positive stats during his interview.

“I’m very proud of what we were able to accomplish,” Jones said. “Two back to back nine win seasons, three straight bowl games. We were able to do things here that haven’t been done in 10, 15, 20 years.”
