Believe it or not, despite his outstanding track record on the recruiting trail and current success serving as Alabama’s defensive coordinator following a dominating performance of No. 1 Clemson in the Playoff,  Tennessee’s best recruiter this cycle may not be head coach Jeremy Pruitt.

No, the Vols top recruiter at the moment appears to be UT signee Alontae Taylor. Tennessee’s top-rated offensive signee is currently in Orlando working to help his school land fellow elite prospect Olaijah Griffin. Griffin, the No. 4 cornerback prospect in the nation according to 247Sports, recently decommitted from UCLA and has named Tennessee his new leader following his official visit back in December.

Both Taylor and Griffin were on Rocky Top for the visit and appear to have struck a bond that should only help Tennessee during the recruitment of the elite California prospect.

Check out this photo Taylor posted Wednesday morning to Twitter, featuring he and Griffin throwing up the Vol hand sign:

For what it’s worth, Taylor has since made that image his Twitter banner photo. Needless to say, with his recruitment officially over, Taylor appears to have one mission on his mind — help Tennessee land other All-Americans that are desperately needed on Rocky Top to help Pruitt turnaround the program.
