One of the nation’s top defensive linemen has narrowed his options down heading into his senior season of high school football and Tennessee is the only program from the Southeastern Conference that made the cut.

That’s the latest from Solon, Ohio, native Najee Story, who listed Tennessee, Ohio State, Penn State, Northwestern and Minnesota as his top five schools on Monday. While he noted those schools are not in any order, it’s clear he’s looking at staying closer to home and playing in the Big Ten, choosing a program with noted national academics or joining an up-and-coming contender in the nation’s best conference led by a defensive coach that has proven to get players ready for the NFL.

The 6-foot-4, 235-pound Story is ranked as a four-star prospect, the No. 19 strongside defensive end in the nation and the No. 9 overall prospect from Ohio by 247Sports Composite Rankings for the 2021 recruiting cycle.
