Much of the talk surrounding this week’s slate of college football games revolves around the upcoming matchup between Alabama and Tennessee.

Many will have their eyes on a game that is sure to produce huge numbers as far as total viewership goes, and one person who will definitely be watching this one is college football analyst Paul Finebaum, who is also a UT alum.

He says he’s pulling for his alma mater, but it’s safe to say he won’t believe it until he sees it, though head coach Josh Heupel gives plenty of reason for optimism with what he’s built in Knoxville.

“There have been some false alarms, as you all know,” Finebaum said. “I was stupid enough to think Butch Jones might turn the corner… one coach who had the best chance was Lane Kiffin. And he nearly did it, as you saw in that video in ’09 in Tuscaloosa. But I feel like Josh Heupel seems like this something that’s in his wheelhouse.”

The two teams are set to kick off at 2:30 p.m. CT on Saturday in Neyland Stadium.
