Tennessee has reportedly added a second nonconference opponent to its 2024 schedule.

Per FBSchedules.com, the Vols will host UTEP at Neyland Stadium late in the 2024 campaign.

The report also has details about how much money the Vols will pay the Miners:

Tennessee will host UTEP at Neyland Stadium in Knoxville, Tenn., on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2024. The Volunteers will pay the Miners a $1.6 million guarantee for the game, according to the copy of the contract.

The UTEP game joins a home game against Oklahoma on the Vols’ 2024 nonconference slate.

Typically, SEC teams have 4 nonconference games per year. But, with Texas and Oklahoma potentially joining the SEC by 2024, it’ll be interesting to see if the league goes to 9 (or even 10) conference games per season.
