After landing 3-star LB Matthew Flint earlier on Wednesday, the Tennessee Volunteers stayed hot on the recruiting trails on Wednesday night.

Trey Dean, a 4-star safety from Georgia, announced his commitment to the Vols, becoming the 20th player in Tennessee’s 2018 class.

Dean, a 6-2, 180-pound defender, tweeted about his decision to head to Knoxville next fall:

According to the 247Sports composite, Dean is the No. 22 safety in the class of 2018 and the No. 30 overall recruit from the state of Georgia.

Before Dean’s commitment, Tennessee already had the No. 1 recruiting class in the SEC for 2018 and the No. 6 class nationally (per 247Sports). Adding Dean to the mix will only strengthen those rankings.
