Using numbers as a guide, here are 20 facts to consider heading into Week 12 of the SEC schedule:

  1. LSU has scored 45 non-offensive touchdowns under the direction of coach Les Miles, 24 on special teams and 21 have been scored by the defense.
  2. Ole Miss is 36 points away from breaking the single-season record for points scored by a Rebels team, which was set at 442 by the 2003 squad led by QB Eli Manning.
  3. Mississippi State WR Fred Ross leads the SEC with 48 receptions during conference games, including 19 during his past two SEC contests.
  4. Arkansas RB Alex Collins is not only the third RB in SEC history to rush for 1,000 yards or more in three consecutive seasons, but he’s the only RB in the FBS to have achieved that feat during the past three seasons.
  5. Tennessee‘s four losses have been by a combined 17 points and have come at the hands of teams with a combined record of 33-7.
  6. A win for Missouri this week would make the Tigers bowl eligible for the 11th time during Gary Pinkel’s 15-year tenure as head coach.
  7. Texas A&M has never played a game at Vanderbilt Stadium, but the Aggies do own a 17-5 road record under Kevin Sumlin.
  8. South Carolina has won 25 of its last 27 games against The Citadel, with the most recent loss coming in 1990. That game was followed by a drought of 21 years between meetings before the Gamecocks won in 2011.
  9. Florida has outscored Florida Atlantic a combined 100-23 in the only two previous meeting between the two schools.
  10. The Alabama defense has forced 47 three-and-outs during the past seven games, which has pushed the Crimson Tide’s season average to 5.0 (2nd in FBS behind Clemson).
  11. The Georgia defense leads the SEC in passing yards allowed per game, but its run defense will be the focus against a Georgia Southern squad that leads the country with 378.9 yards rushing per game with its option offense.
  12. Vanderbilt leads the SEC and ranks fourth in the nation in red zone defense, allowing opponents to score just 68 percent of the time.
  13. Auburn owns a 28-game home nonconference winning streak, and also has a 22-0 all-time record against current Sun Belt members. Both bode well for the Tigers’ game against Idaho this week.
  14. LSU is one win away from enjoying its 16th consecutive season with at least eight victories.
  15. Laquon Treadwell has at least 100 yards receiving and a receiving touchdown in the past five games for Ole Miss.
  16. Mississippi State QB Dak Prescott’s 18:2 touchdown-to-interception ratio ranks as the best in the nation, according to the Bulldogs media relations staff.
  17. Arkansas has 299 all-time wins in games played in Fayetteville, and a win against Mississippi State on Saturday would give the Razorbacks a milestone 300th.
  18. Tennessee‘s three-game winning streak is the longest the Vols have experienced in a single season since a four-game streak in 2010.
  19. Missouri is 9-1 in its last 10 senior day performances, and the Tigers have not lost to the Vols in any of their three matchups since joining the SEC.
  20. Kevin Sumlin is one win away from joining former Texas A&M coach R.C. Slocum as the only Aggies coach to begin his tenure with four consecutive seasons with at least eight victories.
