Vanderbilt junior Jerron Seymour has been dismissed from the football team after violating team rules, coach Derek Mason announced Wednesday.

Seymour scored an SEC-high 14 rushing touchdowns last season, but was hampered by injuries and fell to second-string behind redshirt freshman Ralph Webb this fall.

He was suspended for the Charleston Southern game earlier this season after violating team policy. He is the second Vanderbilt ballcarrier dismissed this season, joining Brian Kimbrow.
