The Arkansas offense is on a run. The Razorbacks have averaged 44 points in regulation time in each of three straight wins — two went into overtime — over Auburn, Tennessee-Martin and Ole Miss.

Until last week, LSU’s Leonard Fournette was on quite a run, too. The Razorbacks (5-4, 3-2 SEC) will need to slow him down and keep their offense rolling to beat the Tigers and clinch a second straight bowl bid.

LSU (7-1, 4-1) has not been as dominating on defense as in recent years. For the first time since 2008, the Tigers defense ranks outside the top 25 nationally in points allowed, giving up 23.5 points per game, seventh in the SEC and 45th in the country.

Scoring shouldn’t be a problem for Arkansas, but stopping Fournette might be. The Heisman Trophy candidate leads the country with 1,383 rushing yards. The Tigers are sixth in the nation with 277.3 rushing yards per game.

It should be a great matchup. The Arkansas defense has allowed only 129.4 yards rushing per game, 28th best in the country.

Last week, a tough Alabama front held Fournette to 31 yards on 19 carries en route to a 30-16 victory. Arkansas can’t expect to match that success, but preventing Fournette from taking over the game is the key to the Razorbacks’ upset chances.
