At this rate, Georgia’s stable of running backs is beginning to resemble that of a MASH unit.

With Sony Michel out with a broken arm, and Nick Chubb rehabilitating from a knee injury, Georgia and head coach Kirby Smart can ill-afford another injury to a somewhat-thin backfield.

As reported by Seth Emerson of Dawg Nation, receiver-turned-running back Shaquery Wilson was sidelined during Tuesday’s practice. He was seen stretching and working on an exercise bike, with a brace on his left knee. There’s no word on the severity of the potential injury.

Georgia’s season opener is Sep. 3 in a non-conference clash against the North Carolina Tar Heels. Should Chubb and/or Wilson not be ready to go, the Bulldogs will have to rely on a three-headed trio featuring veteran Brendan Douglas, youngster Elijah Holyfield, and big back Tae Crowder.
