Tennessee RB Alvin Kamara will not play vs. South Carolina
Butch Jones said running back Alvin Kamara currently does not need surgery to repair an injured knee, as was previously reported, but he will not play against South Carolina this weekend.
"He won't be available back this week… We do anticipate him being back in a couple of weeks." Butch on Alvin Kamara.

Kamara reportedly suffered a sprained LCL and meniscus in a 49-10 loss to Alabama on Oct. 15, another blow to a Tennessee roster littered with injuries. He had filled in for injured running back Jalen Hurd against Texas A&M the week before, accumulated 312 all-purpose yards.
It’s unclear how long Kamara will be out, but Jones said he’s “very encouraged by his progress.” All that’s certain is that the junior won’t suit up when the No. 18 Volunteers travel to South Carolina for a 7:15 p.m. ET Saturday kickoff.
