Crazy stat shows there may not be a touchdown scored in the Iron Bowl

The game is already expected to be a defensive struggle between two of the nation’s top seven scoring defenses, but a closer look at the stats shows just how hard points will be to come by in this game.

Auburn’s defense hasn’t allowed a touchdown since it beat Vanderbilt 23-16 on Nov. 5. The Tigers have since lost to Georgia 13-7 and beaten Alabama A&M 55-0, with Georgia’s lone touchdown coming on a pick-six.
Alabama, meanwhile, has held its last three opponents to a combined six points. The Crimson Tide last gave up a touchdown in a 33-14 win against Texas A&M on Oct. 22.
Alabama is second in scoring defense (11.4 points per game), while Auburn is seventh (14.3)
The No. 1 Crimson Tide (11-0, 7-0) and No. 16 Tigers (8-3, 5-2) will clash at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday in Tuscaloosa.
