A day after being hospitalized from a hit-and-run accident, Florida C T.J. McCoy has shared a positive update via his Twitter account. McCoy says that he and his girlfriend, who were riding on a scooter when they were hit by an allegedly drunk driver of a Honda Civic at 3 a.m., are not seriously injured.

McCoy says he’s sore and has some road burns, but no broken bones or fractures. He plans to go to church with his family on Easter Sunday.

McCoy appeared in seven games, and made four starts, taking over the starting center spot after an injury to Cam Dillard. He worked with the first-team offensive line again in spring practice.

McCoy’s father, Tony, who also played at Florida, thanked coach Jim McElwain, offensive line coach Brad Davis and UF administrators for their help and support on Friday.
