Chauncey Gardner has battled a knee injury since the Michigan game that was originally threatened to be a possible season-ending scare.

Whether it’s related or not, the Florida safety is struggling with tackling at an alarming rate, according to CFB Film Room.

Florida coach Jim McElwain addressed the issue after the Tennessee game, especially when Vols running back John Kelly ran through missed tackles, especially late.

“Late in the game we didn’t tackle worth a hill of beans,” Florida coach Jim McElwain said, according to The Gainesville Sun. “What bothered me was the secondary tackling, especially from some of our, quote, some of our good guys, veterans. That’s been pointed out and will continue to be pointed out.

″(It was) just guys not doing what they’re supposed to do.”
