Rookie RB Alvin Kamara is already having an impact in the NFL.

The former Tennessee Volunteer and current New Orleans Saint put together a strong performance this week. Kamara logged 15 offensive touches for 96 yards and a touchdown in the Saints 20-0 victory over the Miami Dolphins. Kamara also added one kickoff return for 23 yards.

NFL.com reported Kamara received the Pepsi Rookie of the Week award for his performance. Kamara beat out four players for the award including fellow former SEC star Leonard Fournette. Fournette had 28 touches for 145 yards and a touchdown in the Jacksonville Jaguars loss on Sunday.

Kamara posted 1,977 yards from scrimmage 23 TDs during his career with Tennessee. The dynamic RB averaged seven yards a touch in college and is finding a variety of ways to have an impact in the NFL.
