Georgia had to settle for a field goal after this touchdown was called back due to pass interference.

The Bulldogs had forced an Auburn fumble and punt on back-to-back possessions and were driving to take a lead over the Tigers. Georgia used a long pass to Sony Michel and an 11-yard run from Nick Chubb to set up shop inside Auburn’s five-yard line in the second quarter.

The Bulldogs would wind up with a third and goal from the two-yard line and scored what would have been a go-ahead touchdown on a pass from QB Jake Fromm. Unfortunately for Georgia, WR Javon Wims was flagged for offensive pass interference in what turned out to be a pick play with Wims taking out two defenders on the play.

Georgia fans will likely argue that it was the Auburn defender who initiated the contact and not Wims, but that is not how the officials saw it.

Georgia would still kick a field goal on the drive to take a 10-7 lead, but losing those points could be costly in the game.
