Joe Milton selected on Day 3 of 2024 NFL Draft
Joe Milton is coming off the board, hearing his name called on Day 3 of the NFL Draft!
On Saturday, the New England Patriots decided to grab Milton with a 6th-round pick. Milton comes off the board as the 193rd overall pick and the 9th quarterback to hear his name called in the draft.
Overall, 6 QBs were selected in Thursday’s 1st-round picks, but Milton is just the 3rd QB drafted since the 1st round ended. South Carolina’s Spencer Rattler and Florida State’s Jordan Travis were selected during Saturday’s 5th round.
The Patriots began their draft by picking a different quarterback, grabbing UNC’s Drake May with the No. 3 overall pick Thursday night. Maye is undoubtedly the QB1 of the future in New England, but Milton maintains elite arm talent with a chance to find a spot on the depth chart as a potential backup to Maye.

After beginning his career with 3 seasons at Michigan, Milton transferred to Tennessee for 3 seasons with the Vols. He did show some signs of development under Josh Heupel and delivered 27 total touchdowns to 5 interceptions in the 2023 season.
The selection of Milton gives Tennessee QBs selected in back-to-back drafts following Hendon Hooker’s selection in the 3rd round a year ago. The last time that happened came in 1994-95 when Heath Shuler and Jerry Colquitt were taken in consecutive drafts.

About to start another dynasty. Tommy who???
I am confused. This time last year GWhite said he’d go higher than Stetson Bennett. What happened. The Vols lol…they just aren’t very good.
You should have just stopped at I’m confused. That pretty much sums it up
You must be one of those he/shes
Even if that were true, I’d still be less confused than the Vol defense against the Gators lol. 1998
I mean Gabriel. That can be a boy or girl right ? You go Gabby
Let me educate you. The whole draft this year was a run on offensive players first. Not like last year. So you can’t always predict rounds due to this. We had some guys predicted to go 2nd or 3rd round from around the country that went fifth. Ok, so hows this. Joe has a job in the NFL and SB does not lol. What happened? lol. OH, that’s right. SB has no NFL physical gifts. Told ya lol.
^^^^^Dumbass Alert^^^^^
When was the last time UGA had a two QB’s drafted back to back years? Where is SB today? lol
He’s in Rams training camp
But you said he’d go higher. He didn’t. He may not even end up on the practice squad. But you enjoy your back to back QB draft deals. Georgia has other more important back to back things. You have 1998 lol
Ok Gabby
Bandwagon Bama fan leaves for Georgia after Nicky retires. That’s pretty bad even by bandwagon front runner standards.
Looks like Drake Maye has some competition. lol.
Drake Maye can make all the throws. Hooker=well we all know that he cannot make all the throws. In NFL QB’s size may not be the important factor, the arm is. Plus the NFL cares less that Joe can throw it 80 yards.
You-the arm is the most important factor in the nfl
Also you-the nfl may care less that Milton can throw it 80 yards. Drinking heavy on a Sunday is for godless losers
Milton can make all of the throws. He over throws them b 5 yards.
I like Drake but only one of these QB’s look like an phsycally NFL ready QB. If Drake could run over defenders, he would. I don’t see one throw Drake can make that Joe couldn’t. Just being honest and only one played against SEC defenses and ran a fast offense. Both went 8-4 but only one played against the SEC D’s. And who did UNC lose to last year vs who TN did? How UNC’s bowl game go? lol. Mayo, the HC said, there will be a competition. Drake isn’t going to just automatically be QB1,2, or 3. He’ll have to compete with Joe. Should be interesting. Two QB’s drafted in two years. We haven’t done that since what, 95 and 96? lol
Last year in the NFL Draft Hendon Hooker(who had a great year) was drafted at #68. This year in the NFL Draft Joe Milton(you judge what kind of year he had) was drafted at #193…just let that sink in #193. Heup’s
QB’s do not grade high in the NFL. Heup’s blur/pass/offense may glaze, daze and amaze but the NFL is not impressed nor will the ever be impressed with it. The Vols “Great Offense” lost four(4) games last year by being outscored…Let that sink in too. Big “O” & no “D”.
Both were transfer qbs not wanted by Michigan and VATech and neither was considered a quality product prior to UT. He managed to get both a rookie contract and into the national convo. Let’s see what round Nico goes and then we can call it. I always knew you were a casual with bad takes, but wow, found the Joe B1den SDS account.
Hendon Hooker was drafted in the 3rd round with a blown out ACL. Let that sink in. Nobody except GWhite expected Milton to go high in the draft. I want to say I even called he’d be a 5th-6th round pick at best. Your crimson colored glasses need to come off. Reality is fixing to hit you like a brick to the face and you’re too wound up in TN that you don’t even see it coming.
Shall we discuss how well the Saban era QBs turned out?
Mac Jones – Replaced
Tua – Porridge in his head instead of a brain at this point
Young – Will more than likely get traded or at least the talk will be there before the end of his rookie contract
Mcelroy? Mccarron? How’d they turn out. Bama QBs do not turn out well in the NFL. You know why? They usually aren’t very good. They are complimented a top tier defense, beast of RBs and outstanding WRs. That’s it. Joe Burrow is better than any QB Bama has put into the NFL ever. No Bama QB has ever scored a TD in the super bowl.
Let that sink in. Jauan Jennings scored a passing TD last year. A TN WR has done more in the super bowl than any Bama QB ever has.
And yet…

Look at you following me around like a lost puppy. Your infatuation with me is adorable.
I’ll send flowers at to your memorial service when you paint your ceiling with what little brain matter you have after your first 7-5 season not that Saban is gone. Should be soon.
Fingers crossed.
It would be considered a double win for all of us.
Day 3. LOL @ little GWhite
Over throw Joe.
