Miami’s rise in the ACC and national rankings has led to two decommitments to Florida from prospects in the 2019 class.

Homestead (Fla.) South Dade wide receiver Frank Ladson and cornerback Tyrique Stevenson each decommitted from Florida, 247 Sports reported. Both committed to Florida in the spring.

That leaves the Gators with eight commitments in that class, which is currently ranked No. 2 in the SEC and America behind Georgia.

Miami has made a strong push for both Ladson and Stevenson the past several months, according to the report. The Hurricanes are likely considered the leaders for both now that this news has broken.

247Sports currently ranks Ladson as the nation’s No. 209 overall prospect and the Stevenson as the nation’s No. 188 overall prospect in the 2019 class.
