Auburn loses starting F Anfernee McLemore to gruesome ankle injury
The Auburn Tigers had been rolling this year, but when they went to South Carolina on Saturday afternoon, they hit a road block.
At halftime, the Gamecocks held an incredible 46-25 lead and the news was even worse for coach Bruce Pearl’s Tigers, as starting forward Anfernee McLemore suffered what appeared to be a broken ankle late in the first half.
In the below video (warning: it’s very graphic), you can see McLemore suffer the ugly injury while fighting for a rebound:

McLemore was averaging 7.7 points, 5.3 rebounds and an SEC-leading 2.7 blocks per game. It’s likely he’ll miss the rest of the season after this ugly injury.
