Despite having a wealth of arm talent already on the roster, Georgia did not shy away from adding another five-star prospect to its QB room during the previous recruiting cycle.

The Bulldogs went all in on Trevor Lawrence following Justin Fields’ commitment to Penn State but after Lawrence committed to Clemson, Georgia set its sights on Fields. Of course, both Georgia and Clemson eventually signed the two five-star Peach State natives and both players enrolled early at their respective schools and have already participated in one spring camp at the collegiate level.

While many may assume the two players are natural rivals, they also share a connection as elite up-and-coming prospects. Oh, and apparently the same QB coach. Over the weekend, the two quarterbacks were spotted training with each other at Fields’ high school campus as Fields shared a photo while training with the Clemson quarterback.

Not only were these two considered the top two quarterbacks in the nation last recruiting cycle, they were the top two overall prospect according to 247Sports Composite Rankings. This photo adds a little extra intrigue on the possible renewal of the regular season series between Georgia and Clemson. If the series does take place during the playing careers of these two players, it could be one of the biggest showdowns of QB talent in any college game in recent memory.
