Dan Mullen did a pretty good job with his first Florida recruiting class. According to 247Sports, his 2018 haul placed him at fourth in the SEC and included 13 four-star prospects. He had that success despite arriving late in the recruiting cycle and facing the challenge of working through the first ever early signing period while transitioning to a new job.

The recruiting trail in 2019, however, hasn’t proved to be as kind. According to 247Sports, the Gators have the No.11 class in the SEC, they have 12 commits in all with five four-stars and seven three-stars.

Coach Mullen doesn’t seem to be losing too much sleep over it though, according to ESPN’s Chris Low.

Mullen still has a lot of time to flip public opinion on this 2019 class, but he will be paying more attention to their fit on the team rather than their ratings on websites.
