The SEC has reclaimed its dominance as college football’s monster over the first two weeks.

Big non-conference wins in Week 1 helped cement that, but it’s becoming increasingly apparent that the SEC West (perhaps) has never been stronger. Prior to the season starting, the Big Ten East — Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State and Penn State — was getting all the buzz as the best division in the country. After two weeks, the SEC West is the best, and it’s not even close.

With two weeks down in the SEC, analysts are starting to get a feel for the landscape, and SEC Network host Dari Nowkhah took a shot at power ranking the 14 teams.

The first three teams — Alabama, Georgia and Auburn — are a given, but No. 4 is where things get interesting. One can make an argument for LSU, Mississippi State and Texas A&M for that spot. Amazingly, of the top six teams, Nowkhah says five of them belong to the SEC West.

Aside from No. 2 Georgia, the highest ranked SEC East team is No. 7 Missouri. We’re not so sure it shouldn’t be Kentucky.

Here’s Nowkhah’s top 14 teams ranked from best to worst:

1. Alabama
2. Georgia
3. Auburn
4. Mississippi State
5. LSU
6. Texas A&M
7. Missouri
8. Kentucky
9. South Carolina
10. Florida
11. Ole Miss
12. Vanderbilt
13. Tennessee
14. Arkansas
