Jimbo Fisher explains why he grabbed Tyrel Dodson's facemask during sideline rant
During the heat of a football game, emotions are often high, especially if things are tight on the scoreboard.
Still, many think Texas A&M coach Jimbo Fisher went too far when he grabbed a player’s facemask to yell at him.
As you can see in the video below, Fisher grabbed LB Tyrel Dodson’s helmet while chewing him out during a break in the action:

After the game, Fisher was asked about the rant, and explained that he was trying to keep Dodson from getting kicked out of the game:
On video going around of Jimbo Fisher grabbing Tyrel Dodson's face mask… Jimbo said he told him "make the play. Shut your mouth." Was worried LB was going to get tossed for fighting.

Fisher, of course, could have gotten that message across to Dodson without grabbing his facemask. However, it seems Dodson has forgiven Fisher:
I’m in. Coach fisher is an amazing coach, he did the right thing. I let my emotions get the best of me at that certain moment. My teammates and this University needs me. That’s why he was so upset! He’ll have my back no matter what.
