Quarterback-needy teams may have another option on the transfer market.

Buffalo signal-caller Tyree Jackson has entered the NCAA transfer portal, according to a report from 247Sports.com. Jackson, who has graduated and can play next season, was named the MAC Offensive Player of the Year after leading the Bulls to 10 wins and the conference title game.

The 6-foot-7, 245-pound quarterback completed 55.3 percent of his passes for 3,131 yards and 28 touchdowns over 14 games this season. He also rushed 55 times for 161 and another seven scores.

Jackson isn’t as high-profile of a quarterback transfer as Clemson’s Kelly Bryant or Georgia’s Justin Fields, but he could immediately help a team win next season. With Bryant deciding to transfer to Missouri, the SEC has already proven it is a desirable destination for players seeking a new home.
