Ole Miss has few questions entering its season opener against Memphis this week. But one of them is Alex Givens at offensive tackle.

Coach Matt Luke said Givens is questionable as he continues to recover from a back injury. Because of Givens’ injury situation, the Rebels listed Bryce Mathews as an “or” at right tackle. One of the concerns for the Rebels this season is a lack of depth along the offensive line. Matthews is a versatile player who can be inserted at multiple positions. But that offensive line position is one of seven toss-up positions on offense.

Another is at running back where Scottie Phillips is an “or” next to super recruit Jerrion Ealy.

John Rhys Plumlee and Grant Tisdale are still competing to be the backup quarterback behind Matt Corral.

At cornerback, Keidron Smith and Myles Hartsfield won the starting jobs, but Jaylon Jones will be in the mix. That’s one of four toss-up positions on defense.

Ryder Anderson is an “or” at defensive end alongside Tariqious Tisdale. At inside linebacker, there’s MoMo Sanogo and Donta Evans, and Brenden Williams and Sam Williams at outside linebacker.

Ole Miss and Memphis will kick off at noon ET on Saturday on ABC.
