Former LSU defensive back Kelvin Joseph has found a new college football home.

Joseph has transferred to Kentucky, per a Rivals report. The talented defensive back first jumped in the NCAA transfer portal in May before hopping out and rejoining the team. However, Joseph went back into the portal on July 17, and he’s now headed to Kentucky.

The 6-1, 195-pound corner is a big-time addition for Mark Stoops and the Wildcats program, and it adds to an already loaded projected 2020 defensive. Joseph will have to sit out the 2019 season due to NCAA transfer rules unless he receives a waiver.

Around the time of his reported commitment to Kentucky, Joseph took to social media.

LSU had another defensive back in Mannie Netherly enter the NCAA transfer portal on Monday.

Joseph was rated a 4-star prospect and ranked as the nation’s No. 5 overall safety and the state of Louisiana’s No. 2 overall prospect for the class of 2018, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.
