Arkansas fans have had little to cheer about in 2019. Most recently, it was an embarrassing showing on Saturday during a 54-24 home loss to Mississippi State that has Razorback fans hanging their heads.

Chad Morris’ program looks be in a downward spiral in his second season, sitting at 2-7 with no SEC wins. However Arkansas received a bit of good news on Sunday when Mike Harris, a 3-star safety per the 247 Sports Composite, announced his verbal commitment on Twitter.

Morris was able to nab the Class of 2020 defensive back out of Phenix City, Alabama. The Crimson Tide were part of an impressive offer list that included LSU, Mississippi State, and Tennessee.

Harris is only the 14th commitment in the 2020 class for Arkansas, which ranks 13th among the SEC. If Morris can survive the season, he will certainly be under intense pressure for next season, and he will need to hang on to prospects like Harris.
