Despite the LSU loss, Ole Miss picked up some good news this weekend when Daran Branch, a cornerback from Amite, Louisiana flipped his commitment from Miami to the Rebels.

The 6-1, 175-pounder is a 3-star prospect rated as the nation’s No. 37 cornerback by the 247Sports Composite. He is the No. 24 recruit out of the state of Louisiana.

He committed to Miami in March, and currently has a reported 12 offers, including Auburn and Kentucky.

OM Spirit reported that Brand was in Oxford on an unofficial visit at the time of his decommitment from the Hurricans and commitment to the Rebels.

Branch reportedly is a versatile defensive back that will likely play cornerback in college but could very well end up as a safety. He film shows an aggressive style of play.

His commitment gives the Rebels 23 commits for the 2020 class, which is ranked No. 10 in the SEC, and No. 23 in the country.
