South Carolina may be 4-7, but there will surely be a loud environment at Williams-Brice Stadium on Saturday for the Gamecocks’ regular-season finale.

No. 3 Clemson is coming to Columbia, which means South Carolina has the chance to score a major upset over one of the best teams in the country by winning this year’s Palmetto Bowl. And the Tigers know there will be a loud crowd in attendance for the in-state rivalry matchup.

However, some Clemson players are looking forward to that atmosphere.

“I actually enjoy it, I enjoy the adversity that we face when we walk in there,” Tigers offensive lineman John Simpson told the media on Monday. “Honestly, I think it gets me another gear, gets me going. I like it, it makes my blood flow.”

Although South Carolina is hosting this year’s contest between the two schools, Clemson has dominated the series of late. The Tigers have beat the Gamecocks in each of the previous five seasons, which includes a pair of road victories. They also lead the all-time series, 70-42-4.

South Carolina and Clemson are set to kick off on Saturday at noon ET on ESPN.
