Speculation about Urban Meyer’s coaching future continues to generate plenty of buzz and discussion among football fans. Now that Southern Cal has kept Clay Helton, an NFL destination is a popular theory.

In recent weeks, it’s been with the Dallas Cowboys, but on Sunday, Meyer was with Washington Redskins owner Dan Snyder in his box at FedEx Field for the game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Conspiracy theorists have plenty of fuel with Meyer’s appearance in Washington. For example, is he scouting his future NFC East rivals? Or, will the former Ohio State coach be reunited with former Buckeyes Dwayne Haskins and Terry McLaurin with the Burgundy and Gold. Meyer had to love being there in person to watch a 75-yard touchdown connection between Haskins and McLaurin.

Meyer won two national championships at Florida and another at Ohio State before retiring for health reasons last year. Meyer’s had a successful first season as an analyst with Fox Sports. The Redskins are looking for a new coach after firing Jay Gruden earlier this season. The Cowboys are widely believed to move on from Jason Garrett when his contract expires at the end of the season.
