Alabama DB Shyheim Carter was 1 of 2 Alabama defensive backs (along with Jared Mayden) who didn’t get drafted in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Mayden ended up signing an undrafted free agent deal with the San Francisco 49ers, and now Carter reportedly has his NFL home, too.

Per Carter’s agent on Instagram, the former Alabama standout is heading to the Big Apple to join the New York Jets:

In his Alabama career, Carter recorded 100 tackles (6 for a loss) and 3 interceptions. He returned 2 of those picks for touchdowns.

How will Carter fare in New York? He’ll have an opportunity to make the roster out of training camp, but the problem all undrafted free agents will face is that we have no clue when football activities will be allowed to start up again.
