With the college football season inching closer, the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook has released updated odds per Stadium’s Brett McMurphy for who will win this season’s national championship.

Right now, Clemson and Ohio Stare are co-favorites to win it all at 11/4 odds The SEC rounds out the rest of the top five and three other conference teams have odds of 40/1 or better.

  • Clemson – 11/4
  • Ohio State – 11/4
  • Alabama – 5/1
  • Georgia – 8/1
  • Florida – 12/1
  • Oklahoma – 16/1
  • Notre Dame –30/1
  • Oregon – 30/1
  • Penn State – 30/1
  • Texas – 30/1
  • Texas A&M – 30/1
  • Auburn – 40/1
  • LSU – 40/1

Odds of 40/1 may seem low for the defending national champions but many expect LSU to see some dropoff after losing many star contributors to the NFL and seeing Ed Orgeron’s staff raided by college programs and the NFL.

Alabama is looking to get back into the final four after having its College Football Playoff appearance streak snapped last year. For Georgia, it has been a two-year break since making the CFP and advancing to the national championship game. Florida, Auburn and Texas A&M have yet to make the final four since college football went to the playoff championship system.

The SuperBook odds differ from the ESPN’s Football Power Index, which currently ranks LSU and Auburn as the third and fourth best teams in the SEC ahead of Florida and Texas A&M.
