The Arkansas Razorbacks picked up commitment No. 14 in 3-star defensive tackle Solomon Wright (Vian, Oklahoma). Wright had been committed to Texas Tech since May 1, 2020; however, Sam Pittman, along with Derrick LeBlanc and Jon Cooper, flipped his pledge.

“Today I would like to thank God for allowing the opportunity and giving me the ability to play football and use that platform to better in this world,” Wright wrote on Twitter. “My whole life my family has taught me values of faith and work ethic among many other things that made me into who I am today. Faith & family has been the number one priority for me. With the foundation of family, friends and the town of Vian that has raised me I have made a decision to play football at the University of Arkansas.

“Lastly, finding the right fit is so hard when you don’t actually get to be a part of the natural flow of being a Division 1 football player you can only go off of your instincts. College football has so many great programs, coaches, fans, support staff and people. The fit seems natural at a lot of colleges. I know in my heart this is the right place for me beyond X’s & O’s. I am thankful and grateful to be a part of the Hog family.”

The 6-foot, 270-pound defensive tackle is ranked as the nation’s No. 41 tackle and the state of Oklahoma’s No. 13 overall prospect for the class of 2021, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Impressively, Wright is the Hogs 4th commitment from the state of Oklahoma, as he joins Keuan Parker (Tulsa), Javion Hunt (Carl Albert) and AJ Green (Tulsa).
