Auburn football’s fall camp has reportedly hit a bump in the road with back-to-back days of practice cancelations, according to multiple outlets.

Phillip Marshall of Auburn Undercover reported that the team did not practice for the second straight day to positive COVID-19 tests. Marshall reports that the plan is for the team to return to practice on Friday.

Marshall detailed that Auburn has practiced just once since a Saturday scrimmage. Sunday and Monday were scheduled off days for Gus Malzahn’s team. Teams are currently allowed up to 20 hours of practice per week.

Marshall notes that campus-are bars in Auburn have seen packed crowds with low mask usage, likely linked to a sharp increase in cases university-wide. Two campus-area bars have voluntarily shut down as of Wednesday.

Malzahn is scheduled to speak to the media after this coming Saturday’s scrimmage, per Tom Green of AL.com. Malzahn has told the press that the team will be transparent and provide COVID-19 updates.
